Solved: 11 Years, 5 Months ago Exclamation
Hi All.

I am using a .Net application and QTP 10 for automation, In this case i am able to record and playback my .Net application in QTP without .Net Add inn.

So what is the use of the .Net Add inn here, as the recording works fine without the Add inn.

Please explain the case here.

Are you Able to run the script without any error?

I assume that, QTP supports .Net devoplemnt environment, so if .Net is already installed on your machine, it might work to some extent. but the features and methods that comes with .net add in fails to work with out the add in installed. Correct me if this is wrong or if u find any other appropriate answer.

Hi

which application you are working..? web or windows..?

If you are working on web based application web add-in will identify the objects

If you are working on windows application then we should use .Net Addin to recognize the objects.

Thanks
