Unlike theoretical essense, QTP has a more practical effect. You will have to figure out an approach to learn QTP. You may start from installing the freeware and launching the Help Guide on QTP. To me, the guide was the best which helped me to understand the intricate details as well it was complete with examples.

Start your quest by learning how the tool works, and the different options and to record and playback a sample program. Then you may get a step deep into learning the scripting aspect of it and then modulate it further by asking questions on this forum.
