Executing BPT from QC ALM 11

Issue : We have QC ALM 11 and QTP 11. when trying to run a BPT from QC ALM 11, the component opens in QTP and prompts as running, but no execution is happening on the application. If i open a component from QTP and start the run, it works fine.


More Info: These components have been upgraded from QC 10. the application under test is SAP.

The error seen is :
Error from Quick Test Professional: the method or operation is not implemented.
unable to open 'xyz component' .Method or Operation not implemented.

Please suggest any solutions.

Hi,

It sometimes shows that in QC test is running but in actual there is no execution. Try to reconnect the QC and QTP and re run. it should work.

Thanks for your response, we did try many combinations of close and open. It doesnt work.

As I said, the problem is in executing components created in QC 10 /QTP 10. A new component and BPT created in QTP11 works perfect..
