Excel Report Automation

My application generates a runtime excel report and I am using the below code

Code:

Set myexl=getobject(, "Excel.Application")

But I am getting an error while saving and running the script.

Error: Expected expression
QTP version: 11

Could someone please help me solve this error.

Shouldnt it be

Set myexl=[b]CreateObject[/b]("Excel.Application")
