Doubts in automatino framewrok

I am very confusing while automating my application

I have small web application which I want to automate using QTP n VB Script.
I have 15-20 test cases which I want to automate but I don't understand how to automate them
I have following queries
How to automate that test cases means whether should I create only one(single) test n create different

functions/ Actions for different test cases
OR
Create separate test for each test cases
OR
Create class n functions within it and access them from test
OR
While writing script which option should use either OR or DP

well it all depends on the following factors.

1) Application development environment
2) AUT Complicity
3) Test case functionality coverage(if all your 15 test cases are talking about same functions with same screens with different set of data then you can develop one generic test and data driven the same)

But i think classes and methods kind of model is not required for 15 test cases, if you are planning this for more test cases then you may consider this option.

This is my first automation application and I m automating it from learning point of view. So please tell me in which approach should I follow to learn & enhance more my QTP n automation skills.
