Can QTP 11.0 be used for CAD Tool automation testing

Hi,
How can QTP 11.0 be used for automating test cases of CAD/CAM tools like UGNX 7.5 version ?

I have tried with various Add-ins provided by QTP, but I am unable to replay basic test cases too. Is there some configuration that is needed?

To Automate UGNX with QTP ,You should record the Journal of the activities which are not getting recorded using QTP, And then run the recorded journal Via Tools-->Journal-->Play... through qtp.
