My company is getting ready for automated regression testing of 12 or so different apps. From what I have read, I believe we should first make a list of all the different data elements in an app like list all links, text boxes, buttons, dropdowns etc. on different pages and list all properties for each element. We would also be checking our current regression scripts to make sure they address all the data elements. Would that be a good way to start the process for automated testing? Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
