Hello,
I'm running QTP 10 on XP with the ActiveX and Web Add-ins enabled.
The application I'm testing includes embedded ActiveX controls that are hosted inside both Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer. Currently, I am able to recognize and interact with these controls in Windows Explorer by checking "Enable Web Support for Windows Explorer" in the Advanced Web/Page options. However, I cannot recognize the same controls when hosted on an IE7 page.
For what it's worth, I launched WinRunner on the same machine and was able to recognize the ActiveX controls on the IE page.
I'm familiar with the information on conflicting ActiveX controls and modifying the registry. I'm just not sure that's applicable here or what else the problem might be.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.
Frank
