What are the various types of exams offered by Micro Focus?
Micro Focus has a huge portfolio of software products which includes UFT, LoadRunner, ALM etc. Micro Focus offers 4 types of exams depending upon the software.

- CSP – Certified Software Professional

As of May 2019, Micro Focus only offers ASP exam for UFT v12.5.
What is the difference between an Accredited and a Certified exam?
Accredited exams are offered online and can be taken anytime/anywhere there is Internet access. A Certified exam is offered at a location with a proctor present. The certified exam is typically offered on the last day of the prerequisite course.
Is UFT certification useful for fresher?
If you acquire good knowledge on software testing and UFT, coupled with a UFT certification at an early stage it will surely be beneficial for your career. You may get preference over others who are not certified.
Are there any pre-requisites before we take UFT certification exam?
Technically, there are no “minimum requirements” to take the exam, however we advise you to get some hands-on experience with UFT before you opt for the exam.
On what version of UFT can we take the exam? Is the exam for UFT 14 available yet?
As of May 2019, UFT certification exam (UFT120-12.5-ASP) is only available for UFT 12.5 version. UFT 12 certification exam (HPE0-M105) is discontinued and there is no update for UFT 14 exam yet.
What is the cost of UFT certification Exam?
The cost of UFT certification exam is $200 (USD).
Where can I take UFT certification exam?
The current exam – UFT120-12.5-ASP – can be taken from anywhere you have good internet access.
Can I take UFT certification exam online from my home?
Yes. This is an online exam and can be taken from home.
What are the passing marks, duration of exam and number of questions in UFT Certification
- Passing score: 70%
- Total duration of exam: 2 hours 30 minutes
- Number of questions: 50
- Time Duration for each question: 3 minutes
Each question has time duration of 3 minutes to be attempted by the student; failure to mark a response within the stipulated time will move the student to the next question on the block.
This is an online exam; for security reasons questions once skipped or submitted cannot be reattempted.(These parameters may change from time to time, please verify before you schedule your exam.)
It is not mandatory to take training on UFT from Micro Focus or any other place. If you feel you have sufficient knowledge on UFT, you can directly go for UFT certification.
